Navy 200 good.JPG

Catharine trained at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England and began her career as a classical actress with the Royal Shakespeare Company, performing in several shows, both in Stratford on Avon and London, and subsequently in regional repertory theatres across the UK.

She holds a Masters Degree (Hons)  in the Study of Mysticism & Religious Experience from the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK and a PhD in Religious Studies and Theology also from Kent.  Her work at Canterbury examined embodied forms of spirituality.

A student and practitioner of a number of alternative healing modalities, Catharine trained extensively in bodywork, breathwork, Clinical Aromatherapy, Body Centered Psychotherapy & Sound Healing.  She is a qualified Spiritual Counselor and ordained Interfaith Minister, and has been a dedicated student of the Western Mystery Tradition for over 17 years.Catharine trained extensively in Family and Systemic Constellation work ~ and runs Constellation workshops regularly with her husband, Stephan.

One of the most important parts of her life is her volunteer work as a meditation teacher for the Art of Living Sudarshan Kriya Yoga (SKY) Classes.  This changed her life and she has taught courses in prison, to those recently released from long term incarceration, to veterans, to parishioners at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Santa Monica, California and to ordinary people who just want to be happier too!

As a daily practitioner of yoga, she is certified as a Vinyassa Krama Yoga Teacher with Srivata Ramaswami – a lifelong disciple of Krishnamacharya, who is popularly credited as the "father of modern yoga."

She blends elements from the many disciplines she has studied into her unique acting classes: Breath & Emotion in Performance and Sacred Voice Work for Actors. Catharine happily teaches actors to free their voices, empower themselves and as a result, to change their lives.
